If you plant trees, you must minimise the risk of injury and ill health to yourself and your colleagues when using manual tools for tree-planting.

What you need to do

• Ask your employer if you think there are ways to deliver plants mechanically so that you do not have to carry them around.
• Don't try to carry too much.
• If the plants have been treated with chemicals or pesticides, use the personal protective equipment your employer supplies
