The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 came into force on 6 April 2006 and repeal the existing Noise at Work Regulations 1989. The regulations will apply to all parts of industry, with a two year transitional period for the music and entertainment sectors until 6 April 2008. For this sector the existing Noise at Work Regulations will apply until 6 April 2008.
