HSE's Energy Division (ED) is responsible for the offshore oil and gas industry. Our mission is to protect people's health and safety by ensuring risks in the changing workplace are properly controlled. Our current priorities are:
Onshore and offshore health & safety jobs, a rewarding career in a positive, flexible environment.
In 2010 HSE’s Energy Division (ED) launched KP4. This inspection programme aims to improve the management of the consequences of the ageing of UK offshore installations, especially given the growing demands to extend their use beyond the original design life. KP4 will run until December 2013 and this interim report describes the progress of the programme to date.
HSE, as a member of the International Regulators Forum (IRF), will be involved in running the 5th IRF Offshore Safety Conference in Perth, Australia 21-23 October. This year’s conference offers a unique opportunity for regulators and the global offshore industry to come together and discuss offshore safety issues, share lessons learnt and identify opportunities for improvement. Further details are available on the IRF website.
