Local exhaust ventilation systems (LEV)
Thousands of workers in Britain contract occupational lung and other diseases, including cancer, each year. They develop them because they breathe in too much dust, fume or other airborne contaminants at work.
Local exhaust ventilation (LEV) can remove airborne contaminants before people breathe them in. This website complements HSE guidance on LEV.
Designers, installers and examiners of LEV will find this website helpful as will employers and their employees who depend on LEV to protect their health.
