An out of hours press office service operates at evenings and weekends . This is for urgent media queries only.
The Regional News Network (RNN) that provides press office services to regional reporters and media, ceases to exist on 31 March 2015, and will no longer provide any regional communications support for HSE.
HSE’s central press office will take the lead on all regional media activity for the immediate future from 1 April 2015.
All regional journalists will now be able to contact HSE central press office directly on 0151 951 5897 or alternatively via email email@example.com and HSE press officers will be happy to respond.

HSE publishes a comprehensive range of information and guidance on our website. You can find out what the health and safety law requires by searching under the relevant topic or industry section, and all of our publications are free to download. HSE Books provides information about orders for HSE publications, leaflets and posters.
HSE does not answer general health and safety questions. If you need to engage the services of a health and safety consultant, you may wish to visit the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR).
However, if you have a specific question on how the health and safety law applies to a particular issue at your workplace, for which HSE is the enforcing authority and you cannot find the answer on our website, then you can ask us by completing the online advice form. We aim to respond within 30 working days.
If you are unable to complete the online form yourself, you can phone 0300 003 1747 during office hours - 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday, Wednesday 10.00 am to 5.00 pm, and a call handler will complete the form for you.
The Freedom of Information Act (FOI) and Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) give you the right to request official information held by HSE. If you cannot find the information you require via our website, you can submit a written request for information to the appropriate HSE office. Your request should include your name, contact address (email or postal) and details of the information you require. To assist HSE, you should identify the information you require as clearly as possible.
