Explosives Regulations 2014 (Amendment) Regulations 2016

Explosives Regulations 2014 (Amendment) Regulations 2016 came into force on 20 April 2016. A summary of the main changes is available.

Transfer of explosives


Explosives must be classified before they are transported. Classification involves an assessment to determine the hazards posed by the explosives as packaged for transport. In Great Britain, the Competent Authorities for assigning explosives classifications are HSE and MOD.
