This document is primarily for employees and gives advice and guidance on what to do to keep themselves safe at work.  It will also be useful to employers, safety representatives, and health and safety professionals.

Serious health problems may arise from rosin contained in solder fluxes.  The document gives advice to employees on safe working whilst soldering with rosin (colophony) based solder fluxes.

The document has been revised and updated since the previous edition in 2002. New imagery and clearer presentation make the online documents easier to understand.

Further information including imagery is provided on the various types of LEV available to assist those engaged in purchasing and maintaining effective LEV equipment.
