UK Plant Protection Products monitoring and control reports: Article 68

Article 68 of Regulation (EC) 1107/2009 (legislation.gov), now assimilated in GB law, requires the competent authority to publish annual reports for monitoring and control of plant protection products in the United Kingdom.

The report describes the official controls carried out by the UK by the Chemicals Regulation Division of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), and by other enforcing authorities.

Reports consist of HSE monitoring and enforcement data from reactive and proactive investigations and Official visits, including:

• pesticide residue and Maximum Residue Levels (MRL) cases
• formulation surveys
• monitoring of food

Other HSE Plant Protection Product enforcement activities included in the report are:

• Wildlife Incident Investigation Scheme (WIIS) investigations into wildlife,
• Human Health and Enquiry Incident Survey (HHEIS) and human health incidents
• Rural Payments Agency cross compliance annual Breach penalties summary data
• BASIS registration Limited annual audit summary for registered pesticide store

Reports
