In 2024/25
- 4,469 (95%) of the workers under surveillance were male and 243 (5%) female.
- 11 young males (under 18 years old) were under medical surveillance.
- The work with metallic lead and other lead containing alloys sector accounted for the highest number of males under medical surveillance during the three-year period 2022/23-2024/25.
- Work in other lead processes accounted for the highest number of females under medical surveillance during the three-year period 2022/23-2024/25.
- 26 male workers had a blood-lead level at or above 50µg/100ml recorded.
- No female workers had a blood-lead level at or above 25µg/100ml recorded.
- Two lead workers were suspended from work, both of which were male.
