Assessing risk: Assessing slip and trip risks

Are slips and trips an issue for you or your company? Talk to workers and reps.

• Have you had any slip or trip accidents or near misses?
• Are workers, employee representatives, visitors or others complaining about slips and trips, ie slippery floors, uneven surfaces, blocked walkways?
• Are workers, visitors or contractors walking hesitantly?
• Looking around your workplace, can you spot any hazards?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, slips and trips are an issue for you.

Note: No history of slip and trip accidents doesn't mean that you will never have one!
