Wave and current flows around circular cylinders at large scale

This report describes a series of experiments to measure the fluid loading on two circular cylinders with diameters of 210 and 500mm respectively. The cylinders have been exposed to waves only and combined wave and steady current flows in a large wave flue. The cylinders were towed along the flume in order simulate the mean or steady currents and they have been tested in both regular waves and in random wave trains with a modified JONSWAP spectrum.
