North sea jack-up measurments on Maersk Guardian
Summary of structural response data collected on the Maersk Guardian jack-up rig during the winter of 1988-89 in the southern North Sea. The primary motivation for the measurement programme was the desire to close the gap between various companies' structural assessment procedures for Jack-ups. The key areas of analytical uncertainty addressed by this programme are: leg/soil fixity, quasi-static wave loads, wave-induced dynamic amplification and load effects from wind and steady current.
