Active substance approvals: January 2017
Changes due to Brexit
Your health and safety responsibilities will not change when the UK leaves the EU. This guidance is under review.
Regulatory Update: 01/2018
Issued: February 2018
Updating your authorisation
HSE does not routinely notify product authorisation holders where a change or update of a current authorisation is required because of a change by the EC to an approval of an active substance. Authorisation holders are advised to check the EUR-Lex EU law webpage and EU Pesticides database where new or changes to active substance approvals and review reports are published.
Active substance approvals
At the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed (SCoPAFF) the following was agreed (except glyphosate, see further details below):
- Propineb – Non-renewal of approval
- Reynoutria sachalinensis extract – Non-approval
Bifenthrin – Amendment of approval conditions to include the restriction “only uses as insecticide in greenhouses with a permanent structure may be authorised.
