Ask how your workforce want to be consulted

Where a trade union is not recognised or has not appointed a safety representative, or there are employees who are not represented by a union, ask your workforce if they would like to be consulted directly, through representatives, or a combination of the two, and how regularly consultation should take place. If it is not practical to consult directly or employees would like representatives, you should arrange for them to be elected.
