Tattooing, Ear and body piercing

Body piercing and tattooing are now performed at many permanent premises across the UK. These treatments invariably involve the use of needles (sharps) to pierce the body. Such treatments therefore carry with them an associated risk of localised or blood-borne infection, unless the operator takes appropriate infection control measures.
