Barefoot areas include pools, changing rooms, communal showers, spas and steam rooms.
Flooring: These areas will become routinely wet. The floors specified for barefoot areas should have good slip resistance in wet conditions for both shod and barefoot users.
Cleaning: Heavy pedestrian traffic may result in a build up of body fats on the floor. This will need to be removed regularly. Information on effective cleaning that removes body fats from the installed floors should be available to cleaners.
Note: a profiled floor is not necessarily a slip resistant floor. The flooring module provides more detailed information.
