Vehicles at work

After the accident the company introduced several safety measures. The most important being the installation of pedestrian barriers. These prevent staff from coming into contact with any vehicle when they leave a building.
A one-way system with swing arm barriers has been introduced to prevent public vehicle access and control the flow of delivery vehicles. Well lit one way and speed limit signs help reinforce this.
While the street is still narrow, the movement of traffic is much more tightly controlled and the amount of traffic reduced by the one-way system. Pedestrians and vehicles are also well separated to a much greater degree.
