  • SME owners & welders
Basic guidance aiming to help a welder work safely. If you have management responsibility for other welders you also find it helpful to see the guidance for managers and safety professionals.
  • Managers, supervisors & health and safety professionals
The guidance on these pages starts off with basic, practical advice but has links to detailed, sometimes technical, information. Sometimes the advice will be a simple question asking if there is another way that is safer and we understand that sometimes there is no other way. The aim is to end up with a practical work process that is safe for your particular situation. The answers to these questions may help you if you are risk assessing welding or hot cutting work.
