Chipping slag from foundry ladles case study
A small foundry used a hand-operated pneumatic breaker to chip slag from the foundry's ladles, resulting in daily exposures well above the exposure limit value. The exposure was virtually eliminated by introducing a machine-mounted hydraulic breaker for most of this work.
