The HSE standard desktop

HSE staff have access to a limited range of applications/ programs. It is unacceptable that content published by the HSE is not available to its own staff. Therefore developers must also build to comply with HSE standard equipment. At the time of writing (18.06.08) the HSE standard desktop is:

• Windows XP service pack 2
• Internet explorer 6
• Flash player 9.0.45
• Adobe reader 8
• Windows media player 9
• Microsoft office 2003

For example, at the time of writing we cannot use Quicktime or RealPlayer.
