(c) Figures for occupational deafness are based on calendar years, that is, Jan - Dec 2000 to Jan - Dec 2005. For this disease, only cases assessed at 20% or more disablement are included.
(d) Prior to March 24 1996, disease D4 was defined as inflammation or ulceration of the upper respiratory tract or mouth.
(e) The figures do not include a small number of cases with 0% disability, i.e. where the claimant has been assessed as suffering but with no loss of faculty, which from April 2002 have been included in the total shown in other tables (e.g. IIS01 AND IIS03). Figures for 2004/05 also exclude a small number of cases for which the percentage disability had not been coded at the time of publication due to the provisional nature of the data.
