Yorkshire and the Humber government office region (GOR)
The latest information for Yorkshire & the Humber shows a downward trend in both work-related ill health and workplace injury.
- Ill Health: 101 000 people suffered from work-related illness, a rate of 3 900 per 100 000 people working in the past 12 months (LFS).
- Injuries: There were 10 484 reported injuries to employees, an 8.2% decrease from the previous year (RIDDOR).
- Injury rates: Total rate of reported injury fell to 492.1 per 100 000 employees, compared with a five year average of 562.2 (RIDDOR).
- Working days lost: 2.7 million working days were lost due to workplace injury and ill health, 1.4 days per worker (LFS).
- Enforcement: HSE inspectors issued 668 notices and prosecuted 45 cases, 41 of which led to a conviction.
