The latest information for London shows a downward trend for both workplace injuries and work-related ill health.
- Ill Health: 120 000 people suffered from work-related illness, a rate of 2 920 per 100 000 people working in the past 12 months (LFS).
- Injuries: There were 12 929 reported injuries to employees, a 2.7% decrease from the previous year (RIDDOR).
- Injury rates: Total rate of reported injury fell to 358.1 per 100 000 employees, compared to a five year average of 387.6 (RIDDOR).
- Working days lost: 2.4 million working days were lost due to workplace injury and ill health, 0.7 days per worker (LFS).
- Enforcement: HSE inspectors issued 1 266 notices and prosecuted 64 cases, 53 of which led to a conviction.
