Ramps & tactile paving

Ramp at railway station

Changes in level are found in and around many buildings. This includes ramps installed to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act 2005 (DDA). High levels of slip and trip accidents happen in these areas.

Tactile surfaces are designed to give a physical cue to a visually impaired individual to aid in navigating the local environment. If incorrectly installed they can increase the risk of tripping.
