Life changes
Tom had to give up his career, his wife had to stop her college course and get a full time job to support the family. Tom was now housebound.
Family life will never be the same
Tom took on the role of house husband, caring for the kids and the home. But his injuries stopped him from enjoying days out fishing with his two boys, a weekend ritual they used to enjoy so much.
A huge fine
Tom's company was fined £16,000 for failing to provide the correct access equipment.
A fine that they could really have done without.
A dent to their record
The company Health and Safety record was severely damaged and a potential client decided not to work with them.
