Ling's life is shattered
And she can no longer do the one thing she loves - dancing. After her fall at work Ling’s jaw and wrist were broken, leaving her unable to pursue her dream career as a modern dancer.
It would all be such a different story if an incoming delivery hadn’t been abandoned in the store room where she works.
Painful operations
Ling endured four painful operations to her arm and wrist leaving her unable to
perform certain dance moves. Her future as a professional dancer is now looking very bleak.
A shattered career
Ling was ecstatic when she got through to perform live on TV with her dance group, it was her first big break, but due to the accident she had to cancel her performance. Ling was devastated and felt really low.
Low staff morale
Ling’s manager knew there wasn’t enough storage and had promised to do something about it. After Ling’s fall her colleagues lost trust in their manager, they just didn’t believe that she cared about their welfare.
Her employer was fined
A health and safety investigation found that Ling’s employer was at fault and the company was fined £30,000, which was a huge hit to their income that year.
