Programme Action Group 3: Knowledge

This programme aimed to increase knowledge of occupational health by improving data processing methods, in order to help us to move the strategy forward and monitor its success.

The Knowledge Programme Action Group (PAG) priorities included agreeing data needs and setting up and managing systems for collecting information, agreeing a coordinated research programme, commissioning and conducting research, and encouraged collaborators in this area to use a coordinated and standardised approach by 2010. We also encouraged employers and workers to join forces when identifying their data needs so they understand clearly what problems they may face.

Baseline Workshop

HSE held a workshop of interested stakeholders on 12th December 2000 to discuss firstly the baselines and measuring progress for the occupational ill health targets set in Securing Health Together; and secondly the opportunities for new ways of collecting data on work-related ill health.
