This event is aimed at stonemasons, employers of stonemasons, those who specify contracts for stonemasonry work and training organisations involved in training stonemasons.
This SHAD is designed to raise awareness of the issues surrounding exposure to silica dust, the responsibilities of Company Directors in terms of the health and safety of their employees, the responsibilities of the procurers of stonework. It will include sessions on the health risks associated with exposure to silica dust, the practical measures that can be taken to mitigate the risks of silicosis, health surveillance and will include practical sessions demonstrating Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems and Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) so please be part of the solution and book your place now!
The event will run from 10:00 till 16:00 (registration starting at 09:30) with lunch provided.
