It is HSE policy to make the results of research available, wherever possible, through publication of final reports in HSE's Research Report series. These reports will be made available on HSE's website for free download. Hard copies of the reports can be purchased either on-line or from HSE Books.

Publication of results in scientific and trade journals and conference proceedings is also encouraged. Information is also disseminated via seminars, exhibitions and press releases. The information generated by research is utilised for the provision of Guidance Notes, Codes of Practice, standards setting, evaluation of risk control measures, negotiation of international Directives, evaluation of policy options, and for ad hoc advice on health and safety issues.
