Slips, trips and falls from height offshore. Final report

Aims to establish a firm understanding of the causes and possible prevention of slips, trips and falls from height (STFs) offshore and develop a strategic plan from this for HSE to use to bring about a 15% reduction in these accidents offshore over a 3 year period. Includes: literature review; accident data analysis; interviews with HSE inspectors and trade union representative; focus groups with offshore installation managers and safety reps; offshore visit; phase one conclusions; risk influence network (RIN) analysis as a basis for intervention; critical factors/paths and risk control in STFs; building a strategic framework; implementing the strategy: guidance for HSE inspectors; conclusions and recommendations
