The thirty-fourth meeting of the Research Ethics Committee will be held on Thursday 4 March 2004 in the Hope Room, Rose Court, London.

(i) oral update on submissions considered at previous meeting:
- Whole body vibration and ergonomics of driving occupations (ETHCOM/REG/03/09).
- An assessment of the effects of newer, non sedating anti-depressants on the performance of train operators. (ETHCOM/REG/03/11)
- A study of the use of 'nasal samplers' in bakery workers. (ETHCOM/REG/03/12).

(ii) HSL draft discussion paper on procedures for taking/handling/storage of blood samples from laboratory volunteers. (Para 23) – final version attached for information.
