Statement of new regulation

The Government's Statement of New Regulation (SNR) covers a six month period and is published twice a year. It includes only domestic measures to be commenced during the period covered by the document. However, from SNR5 onwards , an annex sets out EU measures that will be introduced during the reporting period.

The first Statement (SNR1) was published on 7 April 2011, with one HSE entry, The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 (Application outside Great Britain) (Variation) Order 2011.

The second Statement (SNR2) was published on 26 September 2011 with no HSE entries.

The third Statement (SNR3) was published on 28 February 2012 with one HSE entry in the DWP Departmental Statement summarising DWP and HSE regulation to June 2012, The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

The fourth Statement (SNR4) was published on 17 July 2012 with no HSE entries but some minor adjustments were made to the cumulative totals in the DWP Departmental Statement summarising DWP and HSE regulation to December 2012.

The fifth Statement (SNR5) was published on 17 December 2012 with the following HSE entries:
