The UK REACH CA has added two new Bitesize Advice leaflets to the website. These are Number 16 – Registration, and Number 17 – SIEFs.
ECHA have recently launched a new REACH-IT module, available for online submission of Article 26 Inquiries (Data-sharing inquiry for non phase-in substances and phase-in substances that have not been pre-registered). This provides an alternative method to the generation of an Inquiry dossier in IUCLID 5 and makes the process easier.
ECHA have recently produced two new documents on SIEFs for industry, a REACH Factsheet on Getting Started in SIEFs, and a document outlining SIEFs – The Key Principles.
HSE has written to all its stakeholders to announce an organisational change to its delivery of approvals schemes for pesticides and biocides, REACH, detergents and other supply legislation (e.g. Classification, Labelling and Packaging). A new directorate, the Chemicals Regulation Directorate (CRD), was created on 1st April 2009. Kerr Wilson, currently Chief Executive of the Pesticides Safety Directorate (PSD), has become Director of CRD.
