Health and safety in the woodworking industry

This DVD is aimed at managers and supervisors in the woodworking industry, but will also be useful for training operators, making them more aware of health and safety risks. In particular, it shows: the importance of a health and safety strategy for your business; that the majority of woodworking machinery accidents can be prevented by ensuring operators are properly trained and supervised; safe working practices, properly guarded machines and the use of safety devices; the hazards of noise and dust in the woodworking industry. The information was formerly available as three separate HSE videos in the "Cutting edge" series that have been combined and updated to include new guidance, primarily on the risks from wood dust and how to control them.
