Contains the Approved Code and additional guidance as aligned to the Regulations cited within. Primarily intended to prevent fires and explosions on such installations, it also seeks to protect people in the event of any such occurrence and secure effective response to emergencies requiring evacuation, escape and rescue.
Accordingly, it examines key issues to consider such as the over-arching Emergency Response Plan, equipment for helicopter emergencies, detection of incidents, communication, mitigation of fire and explosion, muster areas, means of escape, personal protective equipment and life saving appliances. Styled presentation (eg bold, italics, margin coding) enables easy distinction between texts pertaining to the Regulations and the Approved Code.
