Approved Code and additional guidance aligned to the Regulations, which are provided in full, covers all explosives, and their handling, including blasting explosives, propellants, detonators and detonating cord, fireworks and other pyrotechnic articles, ammunition and other articles such as airbags and seat-belt pre-tensioners. Encompasses the manufacture of explosives - plus intermediate products for on-site mixing and storage - and also handling operations not in themselves considered to be 'manufacture'.
These include fusing fireworks, assembling firework displays from components, and filling shotgun cartridges and other cartridges for small arms. Styled presentation (eg bold, italics and colour-coding) enable easy distinction between texts pertaining to the Regulations, the Approved Code and additional guidance.
