The Mines (Control of Ground Movement) Regulations 1999 apply to all mines except when they specify coal sites expressly. This Approved Code of Practice on regulatory duties references other existing regulations.
Also includes: duty to secure mine safety; assessment of ground conditions; design document; rules on the implementation of ground control measures; notification of significant changes to ground control measures; implementation of rules and installation of support material by officials; assessment of adequacy of ground control measures; supply of materials; installation of support material; withdrawal of support material; fall of roof or sides; certificates of exemption; disapplication of section 157 of the 1954 Act; amendments; repeals; revocations; and support system standards for mines of coal.
