Example 1 : Find Cases relating to a specific Defendant, where the Case was Resulting from the Investigation of a Fatality. (Uses two search criteria)
Use the following steps:-
1 On the Home Page, click on Advanced Search
Add your 1st criteria to the search
2 In the Cases or Breaches box select Cases
3 Click on Continue
4 In the Search Item box select Defendant's name.
5 Click on Continue
6 In the Enter (part of) text field type the Defendant's Name.
• If you know the Defendant's complete name, type it in full - E.g. Botary Construction Ltd
• If you only know part of the Defendant's name, enter what you know. E.g. Botary
The search will be done using the complete text you entered, i.e. Botary Ltd, will return Results with "Botary Ltd" as the Defendants Name, NEITHER "Botary" nor "Botary Construction Ltd" will appear in the Results List.
7 Click on Add to add your search criteria.
Please Note:
In the Current Search Criteria area, the first criteria "defendant's name = Botary" is displayed. If you wish to see the results using only this criteria, then click on Go now. Click the Back button on the Toolbar to return to your search.
Add your 2nd criteria to the search
8 In the Additional criteria condition box select AND.

9 Click on Continue.
10 In the Search Item box, select resulting from a fatality.
11 Click on Continue.
12 In the Yes or No Box, Select Yes.
13 Click on Add
Please Note:
In the Current Search Criteria area, two criteria are displayed; "defendant's name = Botary" AND "resulting from a fatality = Yes". If the criteria are entered correctly then click on Go now, otherwise click on start again to clear the search criteria and refresh the page or use the Back button on the toolbar to move back one step at a time
14 Click on Go within the "Current Search Criteria" area.
15 In a few moments, a hit list of Cases about the Defendant you entered, where the Case was resulting from a fatality, is displayed.
16 Click on the Case Number to view the Case in more detail E.g. Case Summary, Total Fine, Location of Offence and HSE Details.
17 Use the Back button on the Toolbar, to return to the list of Cases
