Letter to Aldershot News

Dear Editor,

Re: "Health executive rapped over response rate" 25 September

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Rushmoor Borough Council would like to clarify that both organisations have an excellent working relationship to improve health and safety in the Borough.

Your article accurately states that two complaints from the Council about work carried out in the area were passed to HSE in July. However, HSE would like to make it clear that these matters were followed up.

HSE has since informed Rushmoor Borough Council of the outcome of these cases, and has agreed to improve communications with complainants in future.

Rushmoor Borough Council is completely satisfied with HSE's response to its concerns and will continue to work closely in partnership with HSE to address health and safety issues in the Borough.

Yours sincerely,
