National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC)

Established over 60 years ago and is the recognised national trade body for the access and scaffolding industry in the UK. Existing members are audited biennially on all aspects of their business which includes a site visit. Companies applying for membership are required to satisfy stringent entry requirements before admission. Publications include industry guidance (SG4, TG20 etc).

National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC)

Status: Acts under licence from the Electrical Safety Council, as the electrical industry's independent voluntary regulatory body.

Principal functions and activities: Assesses the competence of electrical contractors. Has a register of around 20,000 approved electrical contractors, domestic installers and other businesses involved in domestic, commercial and industrial electrical work, located throughout the UK and Northern Ireland.

National Specialist Contractors Council (NSCC)
