Manchester Area RSI Support and Action Group (MARSAG)

Principal functions and activities: Help and support to RSI sufferers and their families from fellow sufferers. To prevent isolation, help with practical advice, DSS benefits and civil compensation claims. Meets on first Tuesday of month at 7.30pm at 23 New Mount Street.

Status: Executive Agency of the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions

Principal functions and activities: MCA is responsible for: developing, promoting and enforcing high standards of marine safety; minimising the loss of life amongst seafarers and coastal users; responding to maritime emergencies 24 hours a day; minimising the risk of pollution of the marine environment from ships, and where pollution occurs, minimising the impact on United Kingdom interests.
