Principal functions and activities: ON is an impartial platform for the preparation of standards and other normative specifications; member of CEN and ISO; centre of competence for all information pertaining to standards and their environment; facilitates direct access to more than 19.000 Austrian Standards (ÖNORMEN), including all European Standards, to around 16.000 International Standards (ISO) and to 600.000 normative documents from all over the world; partner in certification (especially concerning matters of product certification and certification of services).
