Use the Industry Search if you wish to find Notices for a particular
These activities are also known as Standard Industrial Classifications (SIC).
Click on Industry Search button on
the Home Page.
The Industry Search has been designed to easily locate a particular Industry, Sub-sector and Work Activity by browsing through a hierarchical list - you can search for notices at any level in the hierarchy.
The 5 Industry sectors are listed at the top level, click on the Industry sector link to display the list of related Sub-sectors OR click the 'Go' buttons to search at Industry level. There may be more than one Sub-sector level - keep clicking the Sub-sector label until you reach the lowest level. At the lowest level of the hierarchy you will see Work Activities and their related Activity Codes listed. Use the Back button on the Toolbar if you wish to return to the level above.
You should use the Advanced Search if you want to combine a search for an Industry or Work Activity (e.g. Construction) AND other search items (e.g. Recipient's Name).

Find Notices relating to a specific Industry Sector

Find all Notices relating to a specific Industry Sector.
Use the following steps to find Notices relating to Manufacturing :-
1 On the Home Page, click on Industry Search
2 At step 1 you must decide whether you wish to find All Notices, Improvement Notices or Prohibition Notices.
3 Click on the appropriate button alongside the text.
4 A list of Industry Sectors is displayed
5 Click on the 'Go' button alongside Manufacturing.
6 In a few moments, a hit list of Notices issued in the Manufacturing Industry is displayed.
7 Click on the Notice Number to view the Notice in more detail e.g. Notice Summary, Location of Offence, Date Notice is issued and HSE Details.
8 Use the Back button on the Toolbar, to return to the list of Cases

Find all Notices relating to a specific Level 1 Industry Sub-Sector.
Use the following steps to find Notices relating to the Manufacture Of Electrical and Optical Equipment
1 On the Home Page, click on Industry Search
2 At step 1 you must decide whether you wish to find All Notices, Improvement Notices or Prohibition Notices.
3 Click on the appropriate button alongside the text.
4 A list of Industry Sectors is displayed
5 Click on
Manufacturing to display the list of Industry Sub-Sectors relating to Manufacturing
Please Note:
You can still list Notices at the Industry Sector (e.g. Manufacturing) level, by clicking on the 'Go' button shown beside Manufacturing.
4 Click on the 'Go' button alongside Manufacture Of Electrical and Optical Equipment.
5 In a few moments, a hit list of Notices issued
