Before the testing of a new substance can begin, there is a legal requirement for prospective notifiers to perform an Article 15 check. This check will tell you if the substance has been notified previously and the identity of the previous notifier. In the interests of animal welfare, notifiers are encouraged to share data to prevent repeat testing on vertebrate animals.
