Statement on fairground incident at Knebworth

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is investigating an incident at the Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth on Saturday afternoon (1 August 2009).  

The incident involved an Orbiter-type fairground ride.

Part of the ride has been taken from the scene for inspection by Health and Safety Laboratories staff.
