Food retail:
- Last year, slips, trips and falls in the food retail industry cost society £31m
- Slips, trips and falls account for more than a third (38%) of all major workplace injuries

- Of the almost 11,000 injuries reported to the HSE last year from slips, trips and falls nearly half (46%) of these were from the construction, building and plant maintenance industries
- Last year, slips, trips and falls in the construction, building and plant maintenance industry cost society £139m
Catering and hospitality:
- Slips, trips and falls account for over 50% of major injuries at work in the catering and hospitality industry
- Last year, 1863 people were injured as a result of a slip, trip or fall in the workplace in the catering and hospitality industry
- Last year in the catering and hospitality industry, slips and trips at work cost society £31m
