The HSE and the Environment Agency have published a number of assessment reports on the AECL ACR-1000 and the GE-Hitachi ESBWR following the conclusion of the initial stage of the assessment process for new nuclear power station designs (completed in March 2008). These designs are not currently being assessed by the regulators.
