Richard Carpenter

Richard CarpenterRichard’s first position working within facilities management was in 2002. He spent 5 years, progressing through the various positions and in 2008 took up a new position with Carillion Plc as a Facilities Manager, looking after buildings for a high profile, well known utility company in Leicester. In 2014 Richard took up the role of Regional Facilities Manager and later Regional Operations Manager still internally with Carillion Plc, looking after Carillion’s internal estate for the north of England and Scotland. In April 2016 Richard took on a new challenge and was appointed Building Service & Maintenance Manager at Uppingham School, one of England’s best and oldest schools.

This new position puts all of Richard’s experience and knowledge to good use. Richard has full responsibility for repair and maintenance of the schools 75 buildings including Statutory and mandatory compliance, control of contractors on site, mechanical & electrical maintenance, Building fabric maintenance, and sustainability.

Richard is a full member of the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) and holds several industry qualifications.

He has been married for 6 years and has 4 children aged between 19 and 7 and they all enjoy spending weekends together. Richard is an avid Formula 1 fan and never misses a race weekend.
