Bill Bennett is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. He has more than 30 years’ experience working in health and safety in the retail sector and is currently Head of Safety at Ladbrokes, with a remit that covers not just the UK, but also includes international territories.
Bill was the first recipient to receive a special commendation at the 2013 Primary Authority awards, the Judges commented:
"Bill has combined passion and pragmatism to really deliver on the ground. He was selected for his personal commitment to Primary Authority, promoting the scheme within his sector through the Association of British Bookmakers and more widely within health and safety and is helping to drive the scheme forward through his continued involvement. He has forged a strong and productive relationship with BRDO and is an excellent ambassador for Primary Authority"
Bill was born in Liverpool and is a keen footballer, still playing for a veteran’s team, he travels across the country and enjoys playing against the Navy teams when their ships dock into Liverpool. The annual trip to play in Hamburg is an experience but the reward and benefits in supporting many charitable organisations far out-way any aches and pains.
