A family went for a short break to a holiday park and had been told prior to arriving that all beds would be made up. When they arrived they found that the cot had not been made up. When staff were questioned they replied that the cot beds were not made up because of health and safety.
There is no health and safety regulation which prevents any hotel from providing cot linen or from making up the cot. The holiday park have taken a decision not to do this for other (unknown) reasons and make clear on their website that this is their policy. They should also ensure that their staff stop using health and safety as a convenient excuse to give to customers.
